Well, it has now been stated by their leadership that <strong>YouTube is focusing on mobile<\/strong>, and <em>with good reason<\/em>. As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reelseo.com\/youtube-priority-mobile\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ReelSEO has recently discussed<\/a>, <strong>the average adult also watches a total of 39 minutes of video on mobile devices each day<\/strong>, <em>up from 3 minutes per day in 2011<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Habits among the Millennial demographic<\/strong> have strong <em>implications<\/em> pointing to <em>continued growth in mobile video<\/em>. 48% of Millennials <em>only<\/em> watch videos on mobile devices. This demographic is also <strong>very high in social media engagement with brands<\/strong>, they are approximately 150% more likely than baby boomers to <strong>use video for comparison shopping<\/strong> and to <strong>watch a product video on a website<\/strong>, and they are approximately 264% more likely than Baby Boomers to <strong>share such videos when they are shopping online<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>These Millennials will be an increasingly large percentage of <strong>the buying public<\/strong>, and this should be <strong>a clear indicator that companies and brands need video<\/strong>.
