At Media Blitz Publicity, our motto has long been, “Making Creative Ideas Reality” – with much of our focus being on Media, Marketing, Entertainment, and Education. This work has mostly been in the “digital” space, consisting of audio, video, websites, and physical media, which is all within the realm of communications. We are taking that a step further now, using multimedia content to empower our audiences with practical skills and knowledge that can be used for truly valuable real-world projects that improve their homes and strengthen their families and communities. It is time to emphasize the “Reality” part of our tagline.

This expansion into “IRL” (In Real Life) is an extension of our “Education” component, and it shines a spotlight on the shortcomings of modern educational institutions by providing what they typically don’t. Many of these emphases also stand in stark contrast to the establishment institutions that are typically geared toward producing a certain type of “product” out of their students – often an indebted worker who will tirelessly labor for a shamelessly opportunistic company owned by other people, competing not only for such a position but also against other such companies in hopes of earning the cash they need to cover mounting expenses of food, shelter, fuel, bills, loans, and entertainment in a crowded, urban, scarcity-driven environment.

It appears the inhabitants of “modern society” have been hoodwinked, and this “scarcity”, while still valid as an economic concept, is more malleable a condition than they’ve let on – if you know to pursue the right (often unfashionable) skills. To say, “Scarcity is a lie” may be false, but it seems to be more true than what we have been led to believe.

The American Dream was based on Independence, and the modern urban convenience zone is the antithesis of that. The artificial modern society we take for granted relies upon technology that could short-circuit at any moment. Rather than learn not to be dependent on comforts and conveniences, people tend to jump through hoops that often require they sacrifice their values, their honor, and unseen opportunities so they may chase clever promises that will keep them roped in by their masters. Is that the future you want for yourself and your children?

Today’s citizens and graduates don’t know how to do much of anything that is real, and the economy’s shaky condition reflects this. Rugged, self-sufficient individualism has been replaced by a desperate, ephemerally-fashionable conformity in artificial environments, where the clueless captives are encouraged to think of themselves as strong and independent for their trouble. People are being trained to sit in front of screens as they virtually adapt and maneuver within regularly changing digital interfaces to achieve some digital result or interaction, rather than learn physical skills that apply more consistently and provide direct real-world results. Learn to meet your needs directly by growing your own skills and expanding this mindset among those you know. Enlarge the capability pool among your family, friends, and community as an investment in a real future.
